THE FLOWER MOON

May 2026 — Cutler Bay, Florida

One day you just wake up…

and realize you’re here.

On this earth. In this moment. In this life.

And one day—you won’t be.

So this now matters.

I’m grateful for the journey to this point—

for the stories, the battles, the love I chose to stand on,

and for the force behind it all that allowed me to live it.

On May 1st, 2026, the full moon rises—known as the Flower Moon.

The name comes from the season itself.

May is when life blooms—wildflowers spread across the land, growth peaks, and everything that was planted begins to show itself. Early Native American and colonial traditions named each full moon not for the sky… but for what was happening on Earth.

And this one marks abundance.

This year carries something rare:

a second full moon on May 31st—a Blue Moon.

Same sky.

Different rhythm.

We’ve always tracked time through these cycles:

  • January — Wolf Moon

  • February — Snow Moon

  • March — Worm Moon

  • April — Pink Moon

  • May — Flower Moon

  • June — Strawberry Moon

  • July — Buck Moon

  • August — Sturgeon Moon

  • September — Corn Moon

  • October — Hunter’s Moon

  • November — Beaver Moon

  • December — Cold Moon

Not just names… reminders that we move with something older than us.

The moon doesn’t orbit in a perfect circle.

Sometimes it’s closer. Sometimes it’s farther.

A Supermoon happens when it’s closest—

stronger pull, higher tides, deeper movement.

A Micrmoon happens when it’s farthest—

quieter, softer… but still present.

You might not always see the difference clearly…

…but the water feels it.

And here in Cutler Bay… so do we.

The canals rise.

The bay breathes.

The tides push and pull with precision.

During full moons:

  • High tides climb higher

  • Low tides pull back further

  • The water moves with intention

The ocean doesn’t resist the moon.

It responds.

The moon doesn’t rush.

It doesn’t ask permission.

It moves in cycles.

So should we.

There are times to rise.

Times to pull back.

Times to reflect.

Times to move.

The question isn’t whether the cycle exists…

The question is: are you moving with it… or against it?
